Weekend at Red Bluff

Sort of like Weekend at Bernie's, but without all the comedy.  Hey look....I updated!

Left Sacramento and headed up Friday night. Stopped off at Mom's house for a really good dinner (as always) and left for Red Bluff around 8pm. Got up to Red Bluff around 9. Watched a little TV, visited, and finally went to bed around midnight. Was really tired after a long day of work and driving. Work was interesting. Had a meeting with my boss and she told me some stuff that was coming up for our jobs. Looks like I have a possible promotion, but it would mean leaving the group I work with now. The person I would be working for is not my first choice for a new boss. Not even a 2nd or 3rd choice! So, I am putting in an application for a job at Tab's work. It would be a lateral, but it would allow Tab and I to commute and I heard the person running that program is really nice. So, I'll put my app in and see what happens.

Woke up today around 10:30 not feeling too good. Ate too big of a breakfast and my stomach was a bit upset. We were going to go to Redding to go shopping, but before that, helped Tab's dad with a flat tire. Finally, went to Redding to the mall. I ended up getting 2 pairs of shorts for $17. They were originally about $50, so I got a pretty good deal. That felt good. Went to a music store to get the CD Rent, so Tab's mom bought it, and we'll make a copy of it.  Tab and I ended up in Payless Shoe's, so they had the BOGO. Know what that means? I didn't. Apparently, it's all over the TV. Buy One Get One 1/2 off. So Tab and I got shoes today. She got a pair of suede boots and I got a pair of shoes for work. Then we headed home since Tab's grandparent's decided to finally show up. They were supposed to get here earlier but they stopped at the casino and never left. Went to Food Max and got food for dinner. Tab pointed out this really hot girl to me, so we veered off and checked her out. Love my fiance'!   Made it back to the house and watched TV and then played some ping pong. Tab's dad finally beat me in one game, but I won the other 4. Now we're getting ready to eat dinner and we're watching Catwoman. So far, it's not surprising it didn't do well at the box office.

Tab and I are leaving early tomorrow so we can get to the Bridal Fair in Sac. Our friend Kat may be going with us. Need to look for a photographer, cake, and flowers. We are going to miss the Walt Gray run this year. Darn. Oh well.
